ACI seeks to contribute to the enhancement of economic growth and living standards in the region by conducting courses and research studies aimed at understanding patterns of policy and economic development. It also undertakes projects to assess current competitiveness of key economic clusters and provide policy inputs for enhancing growth.

Our Mission

1. Conduct research that provides analytical policy inputs to ASEAN governments in the development of key economic clusters
2. Build institutional capacity in the region for doing projects on competitiveness
3. Become the central repository for competitiveness information for the region
4. Provide an independent forum for public and private sectors to discuss competitiveness issues 
5. Teach concepts and tools for developing competitiveness

Patron and International Advisory Panel

The institute is guided in its strategic plans by a Patron and an International Advisory Panel (IAP) that comprise a team of distinguished public and private sector leaders. Together, they advice and review its programmes and activities, connects it to important projects, people and resources to enable the institute to achieve its goals and objectives.
