The majority of our Executive Programmes are custom-designed for our client organisations. We work closely with our clients to ensure that the programme content and delivery best suit their needs and objectives. Our customised programmes can range from two days to six months. They are held at our training facilities at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, or at client organisations around the world.

Content

Our faculty, network of practitioners and associate trainers bring with them a wide range of expertise in different areas. Here is a sampling of some of the course areas we offer:

Leadership Development equips managers and leaders with necessary skills and mindsets to enhance their effectiveness as agents of change in their respective organisations. This includes areas such as Leadership in the Public Sector, Change Management, Crisis & Consequence Management, Effective Negotiations & Conflict Management, Decision-making, Complexity Theory, and Risk Management.

Public Management focuses on improving public sector performance, examining problems faced by public sector managers and exploring tools and frameworks to create value and meet the needs of people they serve. Areas which can be explored in this theme include Strategic Management in the Public Sector, Performance Management & Achieving Organisational Excellence, Public Service Delivery, Innovative Approaches to Government, Public Finance, Public-Private Partnership, and E-Government.

Governance is the system of ‘values, policies and institutions by which a society manages its economic, political and social affairs through interactions within and among the state, civil society and private sector’. The concept of governance is explored both at the state as well as the organisational level. Topics which we cover in this area include Principles of Governance, Transparency & Anti-Corruption Strategies, Corporate Governance, and Public Sector Values & Ethics.

Policy Development equips participants with technical expertise and tools necessary for development and analysis of policy. Programmes include Policy Tools, Data Analysis, Policy & Project Evaluation, Economic Reasoning for Public Policy, Public Sector Economics and Innovations in Public Policy. Programmes in this area also aim to enrich participants’ understanding of specific areas within public policy, focusing on sectoral areas such as Healthcare Policy, Capital Markets Development & Regulation, Environment Management, Strategies for Poverty Alleviation, Social Security, Urban Development and Transport Policy.

Globalisation explores the rapidly changing global environment in which organisations are expected to operate – addressing how economic, political, social and technological forces at the global level can affect their organisations. Programmes covered in this include Geopolitics, Security Trends, International Trade & Finance, Energy Security, Technology Management, National/Regional Competitiveness, and Risk Analysis.
