The Ph.D. program in Public Policy provides advanced training for assuming responsible positions in academic institutions as well as international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations with significant research commitments.
The School admits a carefully selected group of students based on their academic record and potential for excellence in teaching and research in public policy in Asia.
The Ph.D. program offers specialization in the following substantive areas of public policy in Asia:
- Development Studies;
- Economic Policy;
- International Relations and Security;
- Social and Environmental Policy; and
- Public Management and Governance.
Attractive scholarships covering tuition and living expenses are available to doctoral students on a competitive basis. All enrolled students with strong academic record can expect to receive full scholarship for the duration of their study. Enrolled students also have access to a wide range of teaching and research assistantships at the School and affiliated research centers.
