Introduction
The Executive Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (EDPA) is a postgraduate diploma awarded by the National University of Singapore (NUS). The EDPA is customised and designed for organisations interested in sending their mid-career executives through a rigorous renewal programme. The EDPA is a part-time programme that can be offered over a period of 12 to 24 months, with short intensive periods of study so that officials need not take long leaves of absence from work.
The goals of the EDPA are to:
(i) Enhance the effectiveness of candidates in handling complex multi-dimensional policy issues; (ii) Develop in candidates a greater appreciation for, and capacity in policy analysis and public administration while addressing organisational and budgetary challenges; (iii) Provide candidates with the necessary tools to develop their leadership potential.
Course Design and Curriculum
The EDPA will have the same rigour as the School’s existing Master in Public Administration (MPA). At the same time, the curriculum and content are designed in consultation with our clients to ensure that their needs are met.
The EDPA comprises of six modules; four core curriculum modules and two elective modules of the participants’ or organisations’ choice.

- Policy Analysis & Programme Evaluation
Electives (Two modules)
A choice of two electives from a range not exceeding four (to be determined by the perceived needs and topical interests of the students and organisation) will be offered. The number of electives offered will vary depending on the class size.

The content of each module is customised in accordance with our clients’ objectives. The EDPA can be delivered in Singapore or overseas, depending on clients’ location and needs.

The Dubai-Singapore Programme

The Executive Diploma in Public Administration (EDPA) is a postgraduate diploma awarded by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, and offered in Dubai in cooperation with the Dubai School of Government. The diploma is an intensive, interdisciplinary course of study for mid-level executives in the United Arab Emirates who wish to acquire new knowledge and skills to enhance their leadership and managerial capabilities while participating in a rigorous renewal program.
The diploma is a part-time program that will be offered over a period of 15 months, with short, intensive periods of study so that executives need not take long leaves of absence from work. The program also includes an active agenda of seminars and public lectures by political, non-profit and business leaders to enable executives to complement their formal learning with opportunities to interact with distinguished individuals who are shaping the future.
The program will offer a Master in Public Administration continuation path at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore for graduates of the Executive Diploma in Public Administration. Students who decide to continue in the master’s program will spend an additional 4-5 months in Singapore completing two core modules, two electives and one capstone examination.
