Vu Minh Khuong’s research specializes in Asia’s economic growth, competitiveness, and the related policy issues. His research has appeared in international journals and other publications. He has worked with IMF, World Bank, IFC, USAID, KPMG, and Monitor Competitiveness Group on various development projects.
Khuong is originally from Vietnam, where he has held positions of CEO of Songcam Chemical Company, Chief Economic Adviser to the Mayor of Haiphong City, and Fellow at the Prime Minister’s Research Commission after he had served three years in the Army. He has been visiting assistant professor at Suffolk University (Boston) and visiting associate professor at Keio University (Tokyo). He is currently on the international faculty list of the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program (a partnership between Harvard Kennedy School and Vietnam) and a founding member of the Institute of Potential Leaders. Khuong teaches Public Policy Analysis, Microeconomics, Financial Management, and Economic Growth. He received PhD and MBA degrees from Harvard University and BA in Mathematics from Hanoi University.
