“The analytical and theoretical skills I obtained at the LKY School help me to better understand the complex situations in which policies are made. I am now more open to creative solutions that often differ from traditional remedies to policy problems. The school’s pedagogy was a major factor in my decision to apply. Studying actual cases and the exposure to real problems is, in my opinion, the best learning method. They do not simplify the challenges public leaders face in their day-to-day work, but rather offer scenarios that mirror the often very complex environment.
Although people in our programme are so diverse in background and experience, all share the goal of making a difference in the world. The international orientation of the programme and the high ratio of foreign students and professors require sound intercultural skills but at the same time also offer an exciting opportunity to grow academically and personally. High ambitions and drive as well as the ability to think ‘out of the box’ are just a few characteristics of a typical student.”
