Darryl Jarvis specialises in risk analysis and the study of political and economic risk in Asia, including investment, regulatory and institutional risk analysis. He is author and or editor of several books and has contributed articles to leading international journals. He has been a consultant to various government bodies and business organisations, and for two years was a member of the investigating team and then chief researcher on the Building Institutional Capacity in Asia (BICA) project commissioned by the Ministry of Finance, Japan. He teaches courses on risk analysis, markets and international governance, and international political economy.

Dr. Mika Purra is a Research Fellow on the Project on Risk and Regulation in Asia. He holds a PhD from Oxford University and has wide experience in regulatory and transnational governance work within the government, academia and the private sector. He is particularly interested in investment related risk analysis and political and economic risk in Asia. His last appointment was as a government affairs executive with Goldman Sachs International in London and he has also worked as a trade negotiator with the Finnish Foreign Office in Helsinki.

Kelly Sovacool received her MS in geography from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in Blacksburg, Virginia. Her areas of interest include geopolitical risk analysis, intergovernmental organization behavior, neoliberalism and the environment, environmental risk analysis, and stakeholder identification, interests and motivations. She is also trained in the technical areas of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and has her pilot’s license. She spent a total of 24 months working and assisting in research at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica.

Lin Hui received her master degree from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. She specializes in economic policy and analysis. Her research interests include institutional analysis, game theory, social and environmental economy. She conducted policy analysis with Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports for the social enterprise sector in Singapore.
