COL(NS) Sukhvinder Singh CHOPRA joined the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) as Director, Administration in January 2007 after nearly three decades of distinguished service in the Singapore Armed Forces – Republic of Singapore Navy. He is an experienced operational leader, mentor and coach for individuals and teams.
During his tenure in the Navy, COL Chopra held senior leadership appointments which included the command of a squadron of ships. In his last appointment as Commander of the Naval Officers' Advanced School, he was responsible for training and developing naval officers to hold intermediate to command level appointments. For his sterling contributions, COL Chopra is a recipient of Singapore's Public Administration Award. He graduated in 1997 from the University of Tasmania, Australia with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
At LKYSPP, COL Chopra is responsible for the overall administration of the School and its Research Centres. In this capacity, he is in charge of several key departments which include Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Corporate Communications, Donor Relations, and Events Management. COL Chopra also shares responsibility for the overall strategic management and growth of the School and its Research Centres. |
