The Singapore Economic Roundtable (SER) is the flagship event of the Economics and Business (E&B) cluster of IPS. During the half-day event, private sector economists, business leaders and policy makers gather to discuss current macroeconomic policy issues facing the Singapore economy. The proceedings of the roundtable event, held twice a year, are published as a book. The rapporteur will work closely with the Adjunct Senior Research Fellow and the Research Fellow of the Economics & Business cluster to:
(a) Take notes of the roundtable proceedings, (b) Consolidate presentations and papers from the speakers, and (c) Write a draft report of the proceedings.
Qualifications:
(a) Possess at least a Diploma in economics, management or related fields from a reputable institution. A minimum one year of relevant experience would be an advantage. (b) Demonstrate adequate knowledge of economics and business policies in Singapore. (c) Have a good command of written and spoken English. (d) Be able to write a full and coherent report of the proceedings. (e) Have computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools. (f) Be able to perform with accuracy under pressure and to adhere to deadlines.
