Dr Kang Soon Hock is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies.
Dr Kang received his PhD in Sociology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His primary research focuses on issues relating to ageing and the family in Singapore. In particular, he is interested in the intergenerational support relationships between elderly members of the family and their adult children. His other research interests include health and ageing as well as population ageing and policy. He received his Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) and Master of Social Sciences (Sociology) from the National University of Singapore. He is also a member of the HDB Research Advisory Panel. |
