| Synopsis: |
|
Alain Vandenborre is an entrepreneur who thinks out of the box. A few years ago, he and his Swiss partner, Yves Bouvier, Chairman of Natural Le Coultre, had a vision. The vision was to develop in Singapore a unique "Fort Knox" type of facility for high value collectibles, located at Changi Airport. The FreePort would offer international auction houses, art dealers, fine art logistic companies, private collectors, a world class facility in which they could store and trade freely their precious collections. Owners could view their collections, and transactions could take place, in an environment of security, beauty and serenity. This has been realised as The Singapore FreePort.
Mr Vandenborre will tell us the story of how he and his Swiss partners operating at the Geneva FreePort have turned this vision into a market reality and developed for Singapore an iconic and technological masterpiece with state-of-the-art security, climate control and amazing artistic features that will open its doors this year in December.
