| Synopsis: |
|
India has been following policies of reform and integrating with the global economy over the last 15 years. This has led to a significant enhancement of its growth rates and visible improvement in prosperity. The lowering of barriers has also reshaped India's terms of engagement with the world. Given its size, culture and history, India has always mattered to the world. But the nature of its relevance is changing with the transformation underway. High Commissioner Jaishankar would make a case for why India would matter more in global calculations. He will also seek to analyse the challenges that India would itself face in responding to domestic aspirations and global expectations. |
