Rapporteur (Special Project)
The Singapore Economic Roundtable (SER) is a flagship event of the Economics and Business (E&B) cluster of the IPS. It will be where a group of private sector economists, business leaders and policy makers gather to generate discussion and debate of major current macroeconomic policy issues facing the Singapore economy. (Note: The SER is a half-day seminar)
This position will work closely with the Adjunct Senior Research Fellow and the Research Fellow of the Economics & Business cluster to undertake the following essentials:
(a) To assist in the facilitation and servicing of SER by taking down the roundtable proceedings, and (b) To consolidate all presentations and papers from the SER speakers and presenters, and (c) To consequently develop and generate the draft record of the SER, which will subsequently be published as a book upon vetting and editorial by IPS.
Qualification
(a) Possess at least a Diploma in economics, management, or related fields from a reputable institution. A minimum one (1) year of relevant experience would be an advantage. (b) Demonstrate adequate knowledge in economics and business policies in Singapore. (c) Good command of English, written and spoken. (d) Able to listen and capture what transpire during the meeting plenary, and subsequently to plan and organise the flows of the proceedings in the draft record. (e) Have computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools. (f) Understand the essentiality for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
Note: - The SER is a half-day seminar. - For work done, IPS will pay a modest fee of $400, upon completion of the report.
