Before joining the Lee Kuan Yew School, Razeen Sally was on the faculty of the London School of Economics, where he also received his PhD. He remains Director of the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), a global-economy think tank in Brussels, which he co-founded in 2006. He has held research, teaching and advisory positions at institutes and think tanks in Europe, the USA, Asia and South Africa. He is an Adjunct Scholar at the Cato Institute in Washington DC, a member of the Global Agenda Council on Competitiveness of the World Economic Forum, and a member of the Mont Pelerin Society.
Razeen Sally’s research and teaching focuses on global trade policy and Asia in the world economy. He has written extensively on the WTO, FTAs, and on different aspects of trade policy in Asia. He has also written on the history of economic ideas, especially the theory of commercial policy.
