Recruiting at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy
Career talks During the academic year we would encourage you to give a presentation Monday through Friday on campus. These Career Talk sessions provide you with an opportunity to informally share information on your industry or organization and to provide advice to interested students.
Career talks can be held anytime during the school year but you are encouraged to schedule yours during the pre-recruitment season (August – December). This way, students can obtain a general sense of the nature of the organisation and industry before applying for jobs/internships. These sessions are usually held from from 12.15p.m. – 1.30p.m. or 5.15 p.m.-6: 30 p.m., when classes are not normally scheduled.
On-campus recruiting If the employing organisation is not based in Singapore, recruiters also can choose to follow-up with interviewing sessions, which can be arranged on our premises. Please inform the office of career services at least 4 weeks before the interviewing session, should your organisation require our support to organise interviews.
Requesting and receiving resumes Each year, we ask students to submit copies of their resumes for our records. We will then compile all these resumes into a class prospectus which will be available upon request.
Internships Our MPP and MPA students take up internship positions during their vacation breaks: May – July and December – January. The recommended internship period is approximately 6-8 weeks. If you are interested to tap on the talents of our students, please contact our office. A 6-week lead time is required to set up the internship.
